We are currently looking for a supervisor that is safety conscious and is willing to learn and grow with the organization. The incumbent must be willing to work any shift.
Experience:
- Working in a plate processing, forging, or forming facility
- Working with ASME Section 8 Div. 1 forming and welding practices
- Organizing material flow and inventory to reach production targets
- Overseeing the health and safety of employees ensuring that quality processes and procedures are adhered to
- Experience using lean tools such as 5S and Kaizen
- Maintaining production schedules through effective supervision and coordination of direct reports
- Identify problems and propose solutions and/or improvements
- Control costs within the department which include labor and shop supplies
- Coaching and training employees and promote growth within the business
Skills and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years leading, coaching and mentoring in an industrial facility
- Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Critical thinking skills as well as that ability to manage their time and be detailed oriented
- Listening and feedback skills to communicate with employees, peers, and others respectfully and effectively in the organization
